About the Journal
Peer Review Process
Athenea Digital is a peer-reviewed journal. All papers will be reviewed by at least two reviewers. A single negative opinion rigorously argued by a reviewer will be sufficient reason for the journal to decide not to accept the article. As a general rule, the reviewers will be external to the Editorial Committee. Authors may suggest up to four people as potential reviewers of their work. This will not force the Editorial Committee to accept the proposal and, in any case, it will not call into question the blind evaluation procedure. For each of the proposed reviewers, their full name, e-mail address and institutional affiliation should be attached. The cumulative list of ad hoc reviewers will be updated annually. As review criteria, Athenea Digital will prioritize: a) coherence with the domain and editorial line of the journal b) originality of the content c) argumentative soundness d) expository clarity e) adequacy to the style and standards of the journal. Athenea Digital aims to reduce as much as possible the average time for the review of the articles and will use as a guideline a period of 240 days.Frequency
Since 2010, Athenea Digital is published three times a year, appearing on the first non-holiday Tuesday of March, July and November.
