State, uses and demands. Grammars of the insecurity´s victims in Argentina
Abstract
In contemporary societies, collective identity is legitimized by questioning the traditional political and judicial institutions. In this sense, groups of organized victims of urban violence have a crucial role in Latin America. One resource generally used by the victims is the requirement for changes of state structures and to ask for modification on criminal laws. The definition of the citizen/victim is established as part of contemporary literature in social theory, although with theoretical definitions and diverse theoretical approaches that we review in this article. From a perspective close to interpretivism, we work with some interviews with groups of victims of insecurity in Argentina. Following the hypothesis that citizenship/victim is a subjectivity of an era characterized by the dissolution of strong political identities, the aim is to analyze the discursive characteristics of these actors in their link with the State. Keywords
