Abstract

The purpose of this article is to apply and to test some of the theoretical tools developed by Actor Network Theory within an artistic intervention centered on the International Competition of Sheepdogs annually celebrated in Oñati (Gipuzkoa). Based on this theory, the first section describes the principal agents who intervene in the fabric that constitutes the competition. The second section is focused on the description and analysis of the artistic intervention and some of its results. The last section includes some ideas and critiques emerging from the analysis of competition through the lens of Actor Network Theory and its overlaps with an artistic practice.
