Análisis de la Conversación (Aplicado) como un abordaje para el estudio de lengua y género: El caso de la atención a mujeres en situación de violencia en Brasil

Resumen

En este artículo muestro cómo el Análisis de la Conversación (Aplicado) puede ayudarnos a entender las acciones humanas en las situaciones cotidianas. Para ello, utilizo los resultados de una investigación sobre los servicios ofrecidos a mujeres víctimas de violencia doméstica. Analizo comparativamente las prácticas discursivas de los profesionales en dos instituciones paralelas creadas para hacer frente a la violencia contra la mujer en Brasil:  una unidad de una Delegación de Mujer (DDM) y un centro feminista de intervención sobre la violencia contra la mujer (CIV-mujer o CIV) en sus interacciones con las mujeres víctimas de violencia doméstica. El análisis de los datos de interacción entre los profesionales y las víctimas en cada institución indica que la policía tienden a comportarse con mayor distanciamiento y control sobre las víctimas. Por otra parte, las feministas parecen priorizar una mayor cooperación y acercamiento con las mujeres que atienden. También discuto cómo los estudios de este tipo pueden ayudar en la comprensión de las relaciones entre lenguaje y género y sobre las relaciones de poder.
