Dispositive of capture: spaces and bodies under the sign of excepcionality

Abstract

Taking as a starting point the hunting metaphor of power as an act that grasp preys, this paper aims to think and develop the concept of capture. In order to do that the theoretical basis of this concept is offered in terms of a dispositive that structures the ordering of the social to appropriate spaces and bodies producing, as a consequence, an exposure to death. Within this theoretical field it will be emphasized the political logic of exceptionality that articulates the process of capture and, likewise, it will be shown the way geography of capture can be analyzed.
