Abstract

In this article I reflect and systematized the methodological process unfolded during my doctoral thesis called Politics and women in the Araucanía, other possible worlds in times of globalization, conducted between 2009 and 2011 in southern Chile, where my being a woman influenced making decisions methodological research, allowing me to consider as many more data elements collected from collection instruments I used. The work professionally with women in the region, accompanied by their organizational and production processes in order to improve their living conditions, eventually became milestones that contributed to my doctoral research, setting a methodological path where qualitative research is a strategy approach to the reality of women who develop the thesis.
