From observing to constructing the Object in etnographic investigation: fieldwork on "botellón"
Abstract
In the professional career of any anthropologist there is the inevitable rite of passage of fieldwork and later ethnographic writing; the following illustrates the development of the process in the construction of the object from the perspective of the student who, for the first time, has to face the task of defining and limiting the scope of her investigation: the phenomenon of “botellón” (public drinking) in two Spanish cities.Keywords
