Abstract
Presented in a conversational way, this article is based on the idea that language plays a fundamental role in the constitution of social relations and in the expression and reproduction of the social cognition. Critical Discourse Analysis deals with the reproduction of social domination practices through language, facilitating its comprehension and at the same time taking an active position. After a brief context, the author locates himself within CDA, he exposes his affinities and divergences with discursive social psychology; he also reflects about themes such as the concept of Social Representations. Finally, presents the possibilities of multidisciplinary work clearing up the epistemological bases for the study of discourse. Keywords
